About
PFLAG Geneva/Tri-Cities
PFLAG Geneva/Tri-Cities was formed in 2024 when a local LGBTQ+ organization asked the community if anyone was interested in forming a local PFLAG chapter in the Fox Valley area of the western Chicago suburbs. Our first Chapter meeting was held in Geneva in March 2024.
We are dedicated to providing compassionate support, quality educational programs and advocate for LGBTQ+ justice, equity, and inclusion.
Provide Support – PFLAG Geneva/Tri-Cities facilitates monthly support meetings for LGBTQ+ people, their families, and allies. Our meetings are hybrid, allowing you to participate either in person or by requesting a Zoom link for our monthly gathering. We also provide periodic programs for special topics and events.
Offer Education – Each month, as part of our support group, we provide a different education topic relevant to the time of year (back-to-school, coming out, etc.). We offer education to help dispel misinformation and disinformation about LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.
Advocate – PFLAG strives to partner with other local and National organizations to educate key decision-makers about the issues that affect our loved ones and families, and to teach others how to use their voices to amplify our efforts toward a more equitable, and just world for the LGBTQ+ community.
Since 1973, PFLAG has been where LGBTQ+ people, families, and allies have come together in pursuit of justice and affirmation—and always leading with love.
It began with a letter that led to a march, which launched a meeting and birthed a movement of millions.
Since our earliest days, PFLAG has been the connector for LGBTQ+ people with community, parents with resources, and allies with tools, bolstering the LGBTQ+ movement with strength, power, and love.
